Sally + Scott – Wedding::Part 1

It’s been a rainy, dreary, cold day for some of our OLAS family, but today’s wedding-of-the-day is absolutely nothing but bright and SO joyful. We love everything about Sally + Scott’s California wedding that we’re having to do TWO full blog posts…there was no way to narrow it down! Our West Coast team first met these two when Sally was actually a part of Jenny and Matt’s wedding day, and after watching the OLAS team in action, we were so honored and excited that they asked us to shoot their big day. Sally and Scott got married on her family’s farm in Martinez, California – they produce grass-fed beef, pears, and walnuts (um. amazing.), and the whole property was absolutely perfect. Here’s just a few of the many, many things that we absolutely loved about this wedding. Don’t forget… Part 2 is coming tomorrow with couples portraits and reception shots!

1. Sally has some killer style, and she totally rocked it on her wedding day. We have all been swooning over her necklace and her fascinator veil – such perfect accessories for her dress. She had some pretty cool kicks, too.

2. Speaking of kicks, the entire bridal party was sporting Converse, INCLUDING some unexpected family members. Be sure to check out the photos of the mother’s as they are being seated.

3. The ceremony was in Sally’s family’s pear orchard, and we absolutely loved all of the small touches that made it so memorable. The hay bale seating, the rustic personalized signs, and the gorgeous arch (complete with a chandelier) added such a touch of country elegance.

4. Scott’s precious sons, Jayce and Dylan, add so much laughter and joy to the photos. We’re LOVING the photos of both of them during the ceremony. So presh.

5. Sally was driven up to the ceremony in an old red truck, with all of her girls riding in the truck bed. Need we say more. So amazing.

6. Sweet former client Jenny was a part of Sally’s wedding party, and we loved, loved, loved getting to spend time with her again. We love our OLAS fam.

7. Last but not least, please check out the last photo. We DARE you to not smile. I mean…seriously! Just warms our hearts.
