Hi there lovies! We’re so excited to announce that here at (once like a spark) photography, we’re looking for some amazing interns to join our team for 8-10 weeks this summer. Most of the work will be in a virtual setting (meaning you can work from anywhere!), while some of our internships require that you are based in specific cities. We’re adding interns  to work with our executive team in everything from finance, to marketing, to sales, to event planning,  to art direction…..read the descriptions below, and get your cover letter and resume in asap for the internships that sound interesting to you!!

GENERAL INTERNSHIP INFORMATION

(once like a spark) photography, a young, fresh, artistic wedding photography collaborative with teams located throughout the United States, is so excited to announce our new internship program!  We provide interns the fantastic opportunity to apply business techniques in a modern, virtual setting.  As many as seven internships are being filled with interests in the following fields: Sales, Art and Design, Finance and Human Resources, Logistics and Marketing.  Each program would begin in mid to late May and would run for 8-10 weeks.  The opportunity to concentrate a portion of learning time in executive leadership will be offered to all interns.

We are looking for savvy, hard working, dedicated individuals who are passionate about entrepreneurism and small businesses to help us change the world of wedding photography. Sales Internship
The OLAS Sales Intern is needed 10 hours a week to work virtually and or/onsite in the Atlanta area. If you have a strong interest in event/general sales, this could be the internship for you. A portion of this internship will be dedicated to executive leadership. Access to a computer and a telephone are required and duties include:

  • The opportunity to meet or speak with brides
  • Communicating with and directing OLAS sales representatives
  • Directly assisting our National Sales Director

Art and Design Internship

The Art and Design Internship is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in art/photography business management as well as client relations or art direction. We will consider any applicant who is willing to commit 8-15 hours a week to work both virtually and on-site in the Washington DC area, and has access to a computer. Photoshop experience is a plus. A portion of the internship will be dedicated to executive leadership. Duties include:

  • Serving as a liaison between internal teams, external contractors, and clients to ensure our company is delivering an excellent product
  • Designing and ordering products
  • Creation of marketing tools, including blogging
  • Server maintenance and digital file management

Finance and Human Resources Internship

This is the perfect opportunity for an intern to work intimately with executives of a small business open to the exchange and development of ideas.  Applicants should have a strong interest in small/general business finance, human resources, record keeping and entrepreneurship.  Intern would work virtually 10-15 hours a week and must have access to a computer with a web-cam.  A portion of the internship will be dedicated to executive leadership.Assignments would include:
  • Interfacing with company accountant and government entities
  • Financial analysis
  • Strategic projects

 

Event Planning and Logistics Internship
The (once like a spark) photography Logistics internship is the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in wedding or event planning, coordinating, or consulting with top industry executives. The position would require 10-15 hours of virtual work, preferably with additional onsite work  in Charlottesville, VA (though not required). A portion of the internship will be dedicated to executive leadership. Intern would be responsible for assisting with:

  • Creation of wedding schedules
  • Photographer assignment coordination
  • Networking with industry partners

Marketing Internship

This intern will have the exciting opportunity to gain real-world marketing and leadership experience in a growing small business, working closely with executive team members on real projects with the opportunity to think strategically and creatively. This is a great opportunity for an applicant interested in a career of marketing, business, or entrepreneurship. This position requires 15 hours a week, that can be performed virtually, with a preference for some onsite work in Charlottesville, VA (though not required). A portion of the internship will be dedicated to executive leadership. Responsibilities and opportunities include:

  • Analysis of web trafficking and marketing resources
  • Blog research and postings
  • Social media networking
  • Networking with industry partners
