Laura + Alan – Wedding
Sitting in my little New York apartment, with a windchill outside of 10*, doing this blog posting of sweet Laura and Alan’s Maine wedding was the perfect cure for my winter woes. The bright colors, the gorgeous seaside, the amazing little church, and a reception fit for a Conde Nast travel magazine makes this wedding so quintessentially summer and New England that all I can do is dream of days when it’s warm and sunny and lovely out.
Wherever you are, whether it’s warm or frigid outside your window, I bet these pictures put you in a better mood, because they definitely did for me. Graham, as always, has done a fabulous job of beautifully capturing every amazing little detail and every intimate smile shared between Laura, Alan, and their family and friends.
Enjoy!
To start, a quaint little New England Cottage. A cottage. With gorgeous flowers and balloons and a blue sky, and a bride and her bridesmaids getting ready inside. Love.
Laura had the most spectacular flowers for her wedding day–greens and yellows just sang with summer, and this adorable little one added some last minute cuteness before her flower girl debut. How precious is she? Laura’s finishing touches were perfect for her big day. Her dress, her shoes, her veil–just so beautiful and unique! Alan and his groomsmen look quite dashing, don’t you think? There are three reasons I love these pictures: 1.) The church 2.) The car 3.) The light. Oh, the light Laura was walked down the aisle by her pretty momma. We love the red door, too! How fantastic. Love this shot of their guests. And. I would like that hat. How more summer in New England can you get?? Married! Love these next two pictures of Laura and Alan, arm in arm, stepping out into a beautiful summers day and their future together as husband and wifeYea. It’s that awesome.
Laura and her gorgeous mom and bridesmaids (and flower girl!) I love the green of their dresses, too. Now add some handsome groomsmen and you’ve got yourself one good-looking wedding party! It took me a while to realllly have the amazingness of this time capsule sink in. It’s vintage. It’s beautiful. It has a polaroid in it. I don’t think you can even have a more phenom time capsule than that. And just when you think it can’t get any better….there’s croquet! Vanity Fair called. They hoped their models had a great time at Laura and Alan’s weddingI mean really. Bowties, wine glasses and croquet. I am in love.
I have one word for this picture: ooohhhhmmmmmmmmmgeeeeeeee.
Shall I even say what these are? Yes, I shall. EPIC.
And this one. Probably some of the most stunning couples shots. Ever. Laura and Alan’s details were flawless. From greens and blue(berries!), to framed pictures of the couple, their reception was flawless, elegant and just plain amazing. First blissful dance as husband and wifehttp://shewalksinbeautyolas.wordpress.com/2011/01/20/hello-world/
Loved their table of pictures. Even their frames and family photos could be a spread in Conde Nast Traveler. Yes, this picture IS that awesome.Thank you, Laura and Alan for letting Graham and (once like a spark) capture your amazing wedding day, and later, beat the winter blues by just looking at how New England Summer perfect your big day was!
