Kelly + Troy::A Classic New Orleans Wedding (And A Fab Day After Sesh!)
One of the things that we love most about how we work at (once like a spark) photography is that we get to shoot drop-dead gorgeous weddings in regions all over the country. It’s been so cool to really get to know and understand all sorts of regional traditions – every area truly does have it’s own style and flair! We were SO pumped when Kelly + Troy contacted us and asked if we could send one of our amazing California photographers out to their wedding in NEW ORLEANS! They had quite the soiree planned, complete with all of the traditional Louisiana touches, and we knew this wedding would be a beauty. Kelly and Troy met at work, and had to keep their romance a secret from their co-workers for awhile….we’d be willing to bet they weren’t fooling many people! They planned their beautiful wedding day at the Houmas House Plantation and Gardens outside New Orleans – a gorgeous venue for a gorgeous wedding. They had all of the necessary touches for a classic New Orleans wedding….from the gloves Kelly wore (a family heirloom!), to a “second line” lead by a trombone that lead the guests from the ceremony to the reception! Kelly and Troy really wanted a romantic, intimate setting, and held their ceremony outside at night with candlelight. They also knew they wanted some of the bright, fun couples photos that (once like a spark) photography is known for, so they scheduled a day-after session in and around New Orleans (and we’re loving Kelly’s fab wardrobe change!)
