Emily + Scott – Wedding
(Preface: Let’s hope I don’t go as overboard with the text for this blog posting as I have with the pictures, or I’ll have a novel typed out before you know it!). Emily and Scott were married at the beautiful St. Simon’s lighthouse in May, and every bit of this wedding lived up to our expectations. Emily and Scott, who both went to UGA, have one of the best “how do you know each other” stories that we’ve ever heard – they were asked by the property management of the apartments they lived in to pose as models for some new marketing material. They didn’t know each other before this point, but they posed as a couple dancing around the neighborhood pool…who knew that before too long, they would be dancing around together on their wedding night! Emily and Scott’s St. Simon’s wedding was the embodiment of elegant simplicity, with beautiful blue, ivory and green accents to showcase the natural beauty of the seaside. The lighthouse was an amazing backdrop for their ceremony, and the bridal party and guests moved just a few short steps away to the Heritage Center to finish off the night with a great reception (one of the liveliest we’ve been to yet!). Congratulations Emily and Scott – we loved getting to know you, and your wedding was a blast!
All of us at OLAS knew that Emily was going to be a pistol well before we even met her – when we asked on our standard questionnaire if she is comfortable with the photographer moving around during the ceremony, she responded that she is, as long as the photographers don’t break out into choreographed song and dance! Hahah! Here she is with some of the girls getting ready:

LOVE this shot of Emily: We loooooove expressive clients, and Emily and Scott were definitely not lacking in the expression department, as evidenced by the two pictures below: We were blessed to have an abundance of time with Emily and Scott to capture their couple’s portraits, and as always, the extra time paid off. I definitely went a little overboard here, but I just couldn’t choose my favorites. Enjoy!Oaks and Spanish moss? Beautiful bride and groom? Yes please.
Congratulations Emily and Scott! We wish you all the best, and thanks for a great weekend!
