Mandi + Scott – Wedding
We first met Mandi and Scott in Atlanta when OLAS shot the couple’s engagement session. We fell in love with these two (not to mention Mandi’s precious yorkie), and were so thrilled to be able to shoot their wedding on the Isle of Palms near Charleston, SC. Mandi and Scott’s big day was filled with little details brimming with Southern charm — things that really made this wedding stand out. From the Tory Burch heart sandals to the brightly colored parasols to the Lilly Pulitzer bridesmaids dresses, every detail worked perfectly together to create this spectacular day. And we really do need to mention that the sky was insanely blue, which complimented all of their amazing color choices.
And there was a crazy dance party. Need we say more? Be sure to check out their full slide show and all its glory at oncelikeaspark.com! Check them out:
See what we mean about the sky? And those stunning parasols? The beaches on the Isle of Palms were the perfect background to these precious couples shots:And the little details…(and the crazy dance party!)
Congrats, Mandi and Scott! We were so happy to share in your special day! Read MoreKelly + Aaron – Wedding
When we first met Kelly and Aaron, we immediately knew they were a great match with OLAS when the conversation naturally turned towards our love of Salted Caramel cupcakes and Toasted Marshmallow milkshakes from our favorite bakeries and restaurants around Atlanta. These lovebirds are the type of couple that make our job as photographers easy as pie (read: they are beautiful!) and they both have personality to boot, which shines through in their pictures below. They were married at St. John Methodist in Augusta, Georgia, which provided a beautiful backdrop to an equally gorgeous wedding. Kelly and Aaron both knew they wanted a particular focus on their couples portraits, so they carved out a good hunk of time before the wedding for these special shots – the time was definitely well spent, and they will reap the benefit of that decision with awesome pictures in a variety of cool locations around Augusta. I know I went a little overboard with the number of couples portraits I included in this blog post, but I really couldn’t help myself. In addition to the great old buildings around downtown Augusta, we stumbled upon a cool vintage red truck in the middle of those shots, and the pictures with that truck turned out to be some of my favorites. Check out their pictures below, and don’t miss their slideshow at www.oncelikeaspark.com!
I couldn’t help but include this super sweet series of Kelly’s dad (who gave an awesome, and hilarious toast, by the way) the first time he saw his daughter as a bride:
We loved this beautiful blue fainting couch we found in the church, so we pulled it outside and put it to work!:
I loooooooooved the adorable signs they made to use as “Thank You” card pictures for their guests:
Kelly and Aaron were so much fun to work with, and this wedding will inevitably go down in the books of OLAS history. Congratulations you two!

Sometimes we work with couples that are just….epic. They just have a certain spunky attitude, a rock and roll style, and are just around around really cool people to hang with. Enter stage left, Nicolle and Collin. This precious pair won our hearts from the first moment we spoke with them, and we were pumped to head down to the uber-cool Ybor City near Tampa, FL to shoot their wedding. The entire event was gorgeous, and we loved spending time with the bride and groom traipsing around Ybor City for their couples portraits. Fun fact of the day: Nicolle’s mom made out with Elvis when she was 15. Yes folks. Elvis. Let the story begin.
Nicolle was cool as a cucumber while she was getting all glammed up.
The boys don’t have as much “glamming” to do, but we enjoyed hanging with them while they figured out the contraptions around their neck called ties. Ybor City provided location after location for amazing couples portraits. The castle looking building is the nightclub where these two lovebirds first met. The ceremony was beautiful in a super cool venue tucked into the middle of the city. This photo of one of the guests joyously giggling is one of our favs of all time.A few candid moments when the ceremony ended….
Check out some of the details of their beautiful reception – they did an amazing job with the details. Love you Nicolle and Collin! Read MoreEmily + David – Wedding
One of the greatest joys that we’ve experienced in this journey into the world of photography is being able to very intimately witness and document the love and relationships of some really beautiful people. Being able to do that for some of our best friends is truly the icing on the cake. Emily has been one of Ashley’s (one of the OLAS owners) best friends since the beginning of high school when they worked together at a physicians office. Their friendship has stood the test of time, and Ashley was SO honored to stand next to Emily on her wedding day while (once like a spark) was there to document it! Emily and David’s wedding was scheduled for February in Atlanta, and it was without a doubt one of the coldest days of the year. The night before, Atlanta received more snow than any of us can ever remember (yes, it does occasionally snow in Atlanta!) Although Emily and David were worried about everyone making the drive on the ice and snow,we knew the weather would make for some AMAZING pics! Check them out:
Emily was such a flawless bride – she has such a classic sense of style, and she was absolutely radiating on her wedding day. David (who is always SUCH a perfect gentlemen and such a perfect fit for Em) was surrounded by his best friends from all stages of his life on his big day. We LOVED their couples portraits in the courtyard of the church. Their reception was a BLAST! Rest assured that no one stayed cold for long – there was some major booty shaking at this party. Look closely, and you’ll see bridesmaid and OLAS owner Ashley breaking it down. We love you Emily and David! Read MoreJessica + Isaac
Jessica + Isaac had an absolutely GORGEOUS wedding ceremony and gathering at the end of January in Orinda, CA. Our amazing West Coast photogs Ashley and Chris (www.westcoast.oncelikeaspark.com) had a blast hanging out with this super classy, passionate couple on their big day. Let the story begin…
Jessica and Issac got married at the Lafayette Hotel and Spa, which was a perfect spot for gorgeous couples portraits. Meet our beautiful bride Jessica. LOVED her purple heels!
Jessica’s custom-made lace dress was GORGEOUS, and was a perfect fit for the feel of the day. Chris hung out with Isaac and the guys while they got ready – Isaac was styling and profiling. Check out his socks! Love this next shot…. Jessica’s bouquet (and all of her flowers, actually) was so bright and beautiful, and really made these images POP. Isn’t Jessica gorgeous? She made our job easy. The hotel had a beautiful courtyard that made for a perfect spot for some quick photos with family and the bridal party. The two bridesmaids and three groomsmen are actually Jessica and Isaac’s brothers and sisters. Jessica and Isaac also shared a sweet moment together as they saw each other all dressed up for the first time that day. A really cool fire pit made an awesome spot for photos of the guys… OK, so… details, details, details! Jessica and Isaac’s wedding was based around a plum, cream, and green color scheme and they incorporate gorgeous floral details into every corner of the Orinda Country Club, where the wedding and celebration was held. We LOVED the custom seating cards and the whimsy macaroon tree with the couple’s initials. The gorgeous couple…. Love this detail shot of the letter Jessica wrote to Isaac. Jessica and Isaac’s entire day was a beautiful, emotional, passionate display of their deeply rooted faith. They incorporated a lot of prayer and worship music into their ceremony. The images are powerful, and you can feel the emotion in the room. Jessica + Isaac, we loved getting to know you and are so grateful we were able to be a part of your big day! xoxoKori + Chris – Wedding
Kori and Chris have a story that is just about as cute as they are – they have known each other since middle school (!!), and started dating in high school. They are true high school sweethearts who have survived the test of time (and lots of other things too – including the awkwardness of 7th grade, and of Chris’s parents going on their first date with them!).
These two lovebirds were married on January 9th at the North American Mission Board, which proved to be a gorgeous backdrop for an equally beautiful ceremony . Check out the multi-story windows, glowing with dusk, in front of which Kori and Chris were wed – a photographer’s dream!
We were so deeply honored to be a part of this marriage, and we know that Kori and Chris are stepping off in the right direction to do wonderful things in this world. We adore you both, Kori and Chris! Congratulations! Full slideshow at www.oncelikeaspark.com.

LOVE those windows!
