Editor’s Choice :: Katie + Cam’s Atlanta Wedding :: with Paige
Happy Monday evening (once like a spark) family! You guys are going to loooooove Katie + Cam’s wedding photos. Ya’ll – Paige knocked this wedding OUT OF THE PARK. Seriously. Every detail was elegant and classic, and Katie looked STUNNING. Like…old Hollywood stunning. This precious couple describes themselves as classic and traditional (they spent their first date swing dancing!) , and their wedding was a perfect representation of them. Katie + Cam’s late April wedding was held at the Emory Presbyterian Church in Decatur,, followed by a reception at one of Atlanta’s most stunning venues – The Imperial Ballroom at the Biltmore Ballrooms. After a long-distance relationship while in college (Katie in NC and Cam in GA), and then a cross-Atlantic relationship (Katie in GA and Cam in France) these two lovebirds were more ready then ever to begin their life together, and their wedding day was such a beautiful way to celebrate their new marriage. A fun detail to note: the French inspired centerpieces are a nod to Montepiller, France where Cam lived while getting his French minor, and where he proposed to Katie! Thank you so much, Katie and Cam – we love you guys! xoxo

Editor’s Choice :: Jessica + Stephen’s Wedding at Variety Works in Madison, GA :: with Paige
Here are (once like a spark) photography, we absolutely cannot stop talking about how gorgeous your weddings are. Seriously – each and every one has been blowing us out of the water. Our OLAS family has some mad style, and not only that, you guys are all some the sweetest, most in-love, genuine couples out there, and that’s what it’s really all about. Jessica + Stephen are one of these couples, and their Madison, GA wedding shot by Paige is simply to die for. Their April event was held at Variety Works (such a cool venue), and played perfectly to the romantic rustic elegance the Jessica was hoping for. Not only is this venue gorgeous, but the location holds a very special meaning for these two. After meeting in high school, Jessica and Stephen were long-distance for 4 1/2 years, and Madison, GA is right in the middle of where they both lived. The idea of having their wedding in Madison is symbolic of Jessica and Stephen meeting in the middle from their long-distance lives, and starting their life together. We LOVE this! Also, check out the pearls wrapped around Jessica’s bouquet (they were passed down to her from her paternal grandmother) – a beautiful and unique touch! Enjoy just a few of our favorites from the day. xoxo

Michelle + Jeff :: Brooklyn Engagement in Prospect Park :: with Vanessa
We are loving Michelle and Jeff’s super sweet engagement session in Brooklyn at Prospect Park- there is something so incredibly authentic about these photos, and we feel like they give you a really good sense of this precious couple. Michelle and Jeff met through a series of fateful events that makes for an AWESOME story. Long story short – Michelle was headed out to catch a plane when she learned her flight had been cancelled because the airport ran out of fuel due to a snowstorm (YIKES!) She later got a call from a girlfriend who had (unknowingly!) also been trying to fly out the same airport the same night. They laughed at the coincidence, and decided they clearly needed to get a drink that night before they attempted to head back to the airport the next day. While at a new bar that night, Michelle met Jeff, and they talked all night. After an uneventful first date that didn’t go so well, they decided to give it a try again, and six years later….voila! We were also so excited to shoot Michelle and Jeff’s wedding photos just a few short weeks ago – stay tuned for gorgeous photos of their big day, but in the meantime, enjoy these precious photos of this sweet couple!

Liz + Daniel’s love story fatefully began at an 11.11.11 party. For years they had shared many of the same friends, yet for some reason hadn’t actually crossed paths until that moment. L + D told us that it really didn’t take long for them to realize they were falling for each other, and soon, Liz began hoping Daniel would propose every time they went out on a special date. :) Exactly one year later, Daniel’s carefully planned proposal was ready:
“One year from the day we met, I took Liz to Athens, GA to show her a few places that were meaningful to me. Little did she know, I had recruited some friends of ours to help set up the long-awaited proposal. As we walked along a path down by the river, flowers and letters from each of our family members were tied to trees along the way–telling her how much they loved her and how excited they were for this moment. The final letter, from me, was waiting for her on an overlook by the river with a picnic of champagne and roses. I nervously fumbled for the ring, proposed, and had a beautiful, whirl of a moment. We left Athens as the sun went down and had a surprise engagement party with our close friends and family for the rest of the evening. It was truly one of the best days of our lives.”
We adore these two, and as you’ll see from their very beautiful & personal wedding held at Vinewood (with invites & save the dates made by Liz, table boxes made by her father, and table arrangements set up by friends & family), their day was a exactly what they had hoped: “a place for people to feel loved and welcomed by us”. Daniel + Liz, we are so thankful for you and thrilled to have you as part of our (once like a spark) family! xoxo

Editor’s Choice :: Adam + Stephen’s Engagement Session :: with Michael
Hope you guys all had a FANTASTIC Memorial Day, and are getting back into the swing of things. Here at (once like a spark), we’re thinking about making the three-day weekend a standard….just kidding, but a girl can dream, right? Today we’re bringing you Adam + Stephen’s super sweet San Fran engagement session, shot by our always wonderful, Michael. Adam and Stephen met while both were graduate students at Stanford (Adam at the law school and Stephen in engineering). A first date at a tiny Mexican restaurant turned into years of shared meals, and finally a new apartment, a proposal, and an adopted cat named Amelia. Michael met up with Adam + Stephen a few weeks ago for an amazing photo session against the backdrop of SF, and we’re loving how their photos turned out. We are so blessed to have these two as part of our (once like a spark) photography family, and we can’t wait for their wedding in August!

It’s rare that we come across real-life high-school sweethearts, but it makes us giddy when we do. It’s the stuff fairy-tales and Taylor Swift songs are made of, and it just makes us so darn happy to hear these happily-ever-afters. Sweet Karin and John are one such couple, and they even brought their ‘Cutest Couple’ senior superlative certificate to their session to prove it. How cute is that?! These two are getting married in Atlanta in September, but live out of town. We scheduled their e-session for a weekend they were back in the ATL, and after some quick shuffling around due to what was forecasted to be some mega-thunderstorms, we are sooooo happy with how their last-minute session at Piedmont Park turned out! You can feel the joy and connection between these two, and we are so, so excited to be shooting their upcoming wedding day! Here is a sampling of a few of our favorites…..xoxo
