Ya’ll….we LOVE this engagement session. Seriously, love, love, love this engagement session. Vonda and Donny are horse people, living in horse country in Virginia, and knew that they wanted to incorporate the equestrian look and feel into their sessions. OLAS co-founder Cali came out of mini-photography-retirement (ha!) to shoot this amazing session in the countryside of Virginia at Vonda’s beautiful farm and oh.em.gee. We are SWOONING. Their session was filled with their beautiful property, their precious farm animals, and a sweet evening romantic dinner. Sweet Vonda and Donny are getting married next week in Keswick, Virginia….and we know their wedding is going to be just as beautiful as this session!

Sara + Billy::Wedding::Part 2

In case you haven’t checked out Part 1 of Sara + Billy’s wedding (it went up yesterday), you must immediately check it out, and then come right back here. We’ll wait……..ok, you back? We knew you’d love it! Sara and Billy got married at the absolutely gorgeous Vintage Estate in California, and our seriously amazing photographer Michael was there to capture their big day – it was filled with lots of joy, lots of laughter, and lots and lots of yummy details. As you recall, Sara is a graphic designer herself, and personally did all of the design work…and it is amazing. Today we bring you Part 2 of their wedding day, which includes tons of epic couples shots, plus their beautiful reception…it was quite the party! The venue provided tons of amazing backdrops for gorgeous photos – everything from exposed brick, to beautiful green ivy, to rustic wooden bridges. A few of our favorite details included the favor to guests (Billy’s own famous BBQ rub!) and the super-fun photo booth. We love you Sara + Billy, and are so grateful to call you members of our OLAS family! xoxo

Sara + Billy: Wedding: Part 1

We are SO excited to bring your Sara + Billy’s amazing wedding day, shot by our absolutely killer Cali photog, Michael. Sara and Billy got married at the magnificent Vintage Estate, and these two thought of absolutely everything. Their attention to detail totally paid off, and they managed to pull off quite an event. Today we’re showcasing Part 1 – getting ready, the ceremony, and some of our very favorite details. Be on the lookout tomorrow for their rocking reception and some EPIC couples shots. We absolutely love the way Sara and Billy used blues throughout their ceremony – it was a perfect pop of color against the backdrop of all of gorgeous ivy at their ceremony site. What really stole the show, though (other than the beautiful blushing bride!) was all of super cool printed details – everything from the programs to labels to signs were designed specifically for this wedding by a super talented designer….the bride! Sara is a super-talented graphic designer, and owns her own studio that does amazing work. We LOVED everything that she designed for her own wedding….definitely check her out! Rachel + Jason::Wedding::Part 1

Well, with the way we’ve been posting lately, it’s absolutely no surprise we’re bringing you another two-part blog post. Ya’ll – we can’t help it! Seriously…I try SO.DARN.HARD every time to narrow down the photos to feature, but it’s honestly impossible. And, well, that just means that you’re getting lots of two parters…but I’m guessing that’s actually a good thing. We’ve just seen some of the most amazing weddings this past year, and Rachel and Jason’s big day was absolutely no exception. Our sweet Carla headed to Athens, GA for this posting (we were there tons this spring and summer) for Rachel and Jason’s gorgeous wedding day at a super cool venue – The Foundry. We just adore this precious couple, and loved getting to know them during their engagement session with Carla. We knew their wedding was going to be amazingly gorgeous and really so special, and we were right! Rachel and Jason decided to do a first look, which meant lots of time for our amazing photographer Carla to really capture some absolutely extraordinary couples portraits. Sigh. We love, love, love. Part 1 of Rachel and Jason’s wedding features some candid getting ready shots, a few individual and bridal party shots, and TONS of the good stuff – couples photos. Here’s just a few of the things that we love:

1 – PLEASE check out all of the excitement in the room when Rachel finally got her dress on. The joy in the room is so evident, and we can’t help but smile.

2 – There’s nothing like some shimmery TOMS on a wedding day, and Rachel totally rocked them (along with all of the groomsmen, sans sparkle)

3- Rachel and Jason took some time to do a “first glance” so they had plenty of time for their couples photos, and there is nothing quite like that first private moment together. Carla KILLED it, and got such a beautifully emotional shot. Check out the first shot of Rachel and Jason together.

Lindsay + Alex::Engagement

We’ve been on a bit of a wedding kick lately, and we figured it’s time to bring you some engagement goodness for this Monday afternoon. Most of the country is unseasonably cold and trying to stay warm….so we knew today was the day to bring you Lindsay + Alex’s engagement photos. Our extraordinary husband and wife photog team, Philip + Anna, met Lindsay and Alex on what had to be the absolute HOTTEST day of the year in Atlanta, so we’re hoping some of the warmth of the day emits through the computer wherever you are (what, this can’t happen? I thought it was 2011?) We LOVE the light, airy feel of this session, and some of our fav shots are the ones where you can faintly see the Atlanta skyline in the background. Love, love!! We’re so excited about shooting Lindsay + Alex’s big day at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in June 2012….we love these two! xoxo

Lauren + Mike::Wedding::Part 2

OK, people, so we brought you Part 1 of Lauren + Mike’s beautiful garden wedding, and now we’re bringing you Part 2. I’m warning you, this is about the longest Part 2 blog posting ever, but seriously, we couldn’t help it! We absolutely had to share all of these photos with you – we just couldn’t pick. For a recap, our crazy talented photographer Graham (usually based in New England) headed down to Athens, GA to shoot Lauren and Mike’s big day. Check out Part 1 if you missed it, then head back over here, because you are not going to want to miss these photos! Here’s what we loved the most about Lauren and Mike’s couples portraits and reception:

1 – Lauren and Mike used one of our Whimsy Packages to add just a little pop of personality into some of their couples portraits. We’ll send you a box of all kinds of fun whimsy props, and your photographer can use them as part of your engagement session or couples portraits on your wedding day – it’s a super fun, super easy way to add some fun into your photos.

2- It was really important to Lauren + Mike to host a celebration that people wanted to attend, not HAD to attend. And ya’ll – they did it. Just looking at their reception photos makes me want to be there – it was like a combination of a super hip street party + classy wedding reception. It was just a whole lot of yumminess – check out the reception photos. So bright and happy and fun! They hosted their reception at Little Kings Shuffle Club, and asked Madeline Adams, an amazing local Athens musician to play. So.awesome.

3 – Lauren and Mike partook in the Hora (aka wedding chair dance) and I am OBSESSED with the photos. Sooooooo amazing. Graham killed it!

4 – If sweet father/daughter moments get to you, prepare yourself.

5- Their wedding rings have their fingerprints imprinted on the inside. Love, love, love, love.

6- Lastly, Lauren and Mike snuck out with Graham one more time for some more couples portraits, and they are some of my favorite of the day!
