Natalie + Tucker::A Fateful ATL Engagement with Tyler
Alright folks – we are SUPER excited to bring you this engagement session today for two super important reasons. First off, this amazing Atlanta e-session was shot by the newest member of our Atlanta photography team – Tyler! We’ve had our eye on Tyler for awhile, and knew his eye and style would be a perfect match for the OLAS aesthetic our couples have come to know and love. Be looking out for more sessions from Tyler soon – he’s already booking up fast! We *do* have to brag on him a little bit though – we’re hearing from couple after couple who are contacting us right after their session going on and on about how much they love Tyler! Not sure what kind of love potion he’s passing out at his session, but he’s making some bff’s – fast!
The second reason that we’re so excited to showcase this session is just because of how much we adore this sweet bride and groom. Natalie and Tucker could be called star-crossed lovers (if people actually talked like that!). These two attended high school together, where their paths started crossing more and more frequently. They had one class together sophomore year, half of their classes together junior year, and all of their classes together senior year (it’s that fate thing!) They eventually started dating, but soon were separated when Tucker went to school at Northwestern and Natalie headed to UGA. They tried the long-distance thing again and again, but it never worked. They finally said their goodbyes, and Tucker assured her that if it was meant to be, he’d be back. Fast-forward two years later. Natalie gets an email from Tucker saying he’s headed back to Atlanta for a job, and the rest is history! Natalie and Tucker met Tyler in downtown Atlanta for one super amazing e-sesh. Rebecca + Rob :: A San Diego “Engagement”
Hello OLAS fam! Today we’re bringing you an engagement session… for a married couple! Rebecca & Rob are this adorable couple who asked us to photograph their “proper wedding” (their words, not ours!) and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of it! They were actually married in August 2011 in front of Rob’s sister and two friends at the courthouse, but now want to have a big celebration with all their loved ones, just one year later. We love getting stories like this – every single couple is so different and we adore all the different types of love stories out there. They first met when Rebecca was planning to come to America all by herself, and the only person she knew here in the states just happened to be staying with Rob! Their mutual friend suggested she stay with him and his family until she could get all settled in (in a new country!), so she did! Talk. About. Destiny. They kept in touch with one another after she moved on and continued to travel, and then a few years later Rob came to visit Rebecca in Australia, and the rest is history! R + R have this natural, easy chemistry that Tracy (our crazy talented San Diego photog) captured in every shot. Tracy is so, so good at making our OLAS couples feel immediately at ease and it really shows through in R + R’s photos. They’re beautiful, charming, and just a little bit silly :)

Katie + Mike :: A Chicago Engagement
So, we’re just going to go ahead and say it, we LOVE this couple. Katie + Mike are BEYOND precious and have been such a joy to work with! They first met on a blind date after being set up by a family with whom both M+ K worked with their special needs child. At the time, they were both working for a special needs social organization, taking adults/kids with disabilities on field trips, coaching them in adaptive sports, and creating weekend activities for them. These two have such big hearts and have a real joy for life that made their connection inevitable! They told us that they quickly became each other’s yin and yang –> Mike is patient, easy going and a free spirit, whereas Katie is super focused, dedicated and hyper-organized. We like to call that a match made in heaven. :) We can’t wait to share their wedding photos with you soon, but for now, soak up these incredibly gorgeous engagement photos of one.amazing.couple.

Aaron + Marie CA Engagement :: Choose A Theme For Your E-Sesh
Y’all, get ready. This San Diego engagement session is crazy beautiful + fun. Seriously, we’re in love! Aaron + Marie did such a great job preparing for their shoot, and it reeeaaally shows. We think the way A + M made the most out of their session, was by picking a theme/overall feel for the day (and also by choosing our phenomenal photog Tracy, too of course!). Engagement sessions are the perfect place to really showcase you and your groom to be’s personality. Looking through Aaron + Marie’s photos gives us this wonderful glimpse into their sweet and playful personalities. Here’s how:
1. Choose a theme and dress the part. Aaron and Marie went for a really fun vibe for their engagement shoot. Remember that themes don’t have to be complicated, they just need to point you in some kind of direction. By dressing in casual and playful attire, this immediately comes across in their photos. Don’t forget to pay attention to the little details too – like a bright lipstick or nail color to enhance your overall look!
2. Pick a location that works with your theme. By choosing a location that had a TON of different backdrops and lots of bright colors, A + M got to play with plenty of different poses and ended up with a really great variety of fun-filled shots!
3. Bring fun props! We say it all the time, but this can REALLY make such a big difference! We just love that A + M brought their matching blue stuffed animals (so cute), paper flowers, chalk boards and vintage wooden blocks with them. Love love love.

You didn’t think we were going to let Valentines Day come and go without a special edition OLAS LOVES blog post did you?! Not a chance! We olas-ers work in a company whose whole purpose is to celebrate love and do our very best to capture it for lifetimes to come. Tracey + Efren::Engagement::California
When Tracey + Efren contacted us about shooting their November wedding in California, we were SUPER pumped. They were getting married at a really cool venue, and both just had a super-fun vibe about them. Not only were they high-school sweethearts (and dated for 13 years) but they were laid-back, and wanted photography that really all of the “in the moment-ness” of their wedding day. We knew it would be a great day…and it was! But we’re making you wait for their wedding pics…and are bringing you their AMAZING engagement photos today instead! Our absolutely killer Cali photog, Michael, headed out for an engagement session in June that included an amazingly diverse variety of backgrounds all across San Francisco….and it made for some AWESOME photos. Tracey, Efren, and Michael started with some really beautiful, bright, city graffiti – we’re seriously loving the pop of colors in this set! From there, it was time for a quick outfit change and some shots with some of the gorgeous city architecture, the skyline at dusk (oh.em.gee) and the lushness of a city park.
