Brittany + Saul :: Wedding Sneak Peek :: A San Diego “Bows & Bow Tie Affair” with Tracy
It’s that time again…Wedding Sneak Peek time! We’ve got a beautiful wedding to start off the season with – and let me tell ya, we OLAS ladies love us some Brittany + Saul. :) They’re such a sweet couple, and we’ve loved every second of our time getting to know them. Their theme – “a bows and bow tie affair” is so fun and unique; see a little more about it from Brittany in the below:
“The theme is a “bows and bow tie affair”. Saul and I are both nerds, and it is probably the thing we love the most about each other. Our nerd tastes are different, I am a huge book nerd and Saul is more of the comic book and video game variety. However, we both harbor a love of bow ties! We thought that it was an adorable way to incorporate that love of bow ties and our mutual nerdiness, while also lending that extra feminine touch with the bows for the women. We really want our day to have a fun and whimsical feel to it, and we really feel that our theme and color scheme will help us accomplish that!”
Can you see why we adore them?! They incorporated their personalities into the wedding in so many fun ways, one of our absolute favs being the framed quotes from children’s books as table numbers. These were a nod to Brittany’s self proclaimed “nerd love” of books, and also due to her passion for teaching elementary school. She created much of the decor elements herself, and Tracy (our uber talented San Diego photog) captured each and every one of them so, so beautifully. Brittany + Saul, we hope you enjoy your absolutely stunning Sneak Peek photos, and we can’t wait to share the rest with you soon!! xoxo!

Matthew + Peter were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend back in 2010, got engaged at a California vineyard in 2011, and finally said their “I do’s” on a Utah mountainside in 2012. To be a bit more specific, the mountainside was in Park City, Utah (swoon) and the ceremony took place mid-mountain where guests had to board a chair lift to get to it… are you loving this wedding yet? (we sure do!!) M + P’s wedding theme was rustic-luxe with colors of dark charcoal gray, deep cedar green, and tangerine. We loved their description of it as “a mountain setting with urban trappings,” where they incorporated lots of rustic, natural elements in earthy tones, contrasted with white tablecloths, fine dinnerware and flatware. The end result was truly exquisite as you’ll see in the photos below, and it couldn’t have been more perfectly tailored to these two love birds. They absolutely adore the outdoors, and in the past year alone have been camping, scuba diving, skydiving, and skiing (or if you’re Matthew, make that snowboarding!). We sent our crazy talented California photog, Michael, out to Utah to capture it all – and what he brought back was simply stunning. Our favorite part was the way in which Michael captured the love and joy shared between Peter & Matthew, along with all their loved ones there to celebrate (with the breathtaking ceremony shots on the mountainside coming in at a close second!). We hope you enjoy a really special look into this gorgeous, gorgeous day. M+P, welcome to our OLAS family!! xoxo

It’s been unseasonably warm across much of the east coast, and we thought we’d celebrate with some gorgeous photos of Mallory + Anthony’s farm wedding in Washington State! We are loving everything about this wedding with its picturesque views and rustic details, and we have been itching to share it with you. M + A used mason jars, pinecones, flowers, and burlap in much of their decor, and these are just some of the ways they really found that perfect balance of simple beauty within a rustic setting. They met in college through a common interest in mountain biking, and wanted a wedding that reflected their love of the outdoors, their passion for their faith, and their laid back personalities (look out for the couples shots with a vintage bike!). The setting, Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake, WA, is a century old working farm in Washington that we just love – the photos around the grounds keep taking our breath away! Ashley & Kellen (our dynamic photographer duo based in Portland, OR) just plain knocked this one out of the park. Every little detail is captured with such intentionality, care, and creativity; they just scream OLAS. M+A, we are so honored to have captured your wedding day! xoxo

Heidi and Fortino’s wedding was based around the theme of an 1800′s Spanish/Mexican garden, and there’s no question that the day lived up to that description. Their wedding colors reminded us of a beautiful summer sunset: the rich burgundies, oranges and pinks evoked an invitation into a day filled with warmth and love. The venue they chose, Nicholson Ranch Winery in Sonoma, is truly breathtaking (as you’ll see in the photos below)! It has an 1800′s Spanish – Colonial style building set amongst rolling hills and vineyards <– what more could you ask for from a venue?! H + F clearly had multiple reasons to fall in love with it, two of them being the perfect combination of vintage elegance and comfort. Be on the look out for little vintage highlights Heidi included in their details & decor (for instance we’re LOVING the vintage pin on H’s bouquet!). Our extremely talented photographer from San Fran, Michael, made the trip out to Sonoma to capture the whole thing. The final result? Breathtaking. The couples shots are taken from all around the venue – by the water, in the vineyards, in the wine cellar, amongst the architecture, you name it – Michael got it. AKA get ready for a ton of beautiful couples shots below, because it was just too dang hard to choose less. ;)
We love you H + F! Thanks for letting us be a part of such a beautiful day, we’re so happy to have you as part of our OLAS family! x’s & o’s

Hello loves! We’re so excited to show you Becca + Jeff’s engagement session, we can barely contain ourselves! We love everything about this sweet couple. They actually knew each other growing up, but say that the “Florida State Fate” stepped in come time for college, and changed it all. They spent two years doing everything together: cheering on Seminole football, watching every possible Office episode, going to concerts, you name it – and became fast best friends. Finally, after much worry that it could ruin their friendship, neither of them could take it anymore and jumped head first into dating, and boy are we all happy they did. :) Now they are proud owners of two pups, Harry & George, and oh yeah, a turtle named Tiny (we told you this couple was adorable) and can’t wait to start their next big adventure together. Jeff recently got a job in California, so while they’re actually going to get hitched in FL (don’t forget the importance of the Florida State Fate!), they decided to do their e-sesh during one of Becca’s many visits out to Cali. Tracy, our phenomenal southwestern photographer, was thrilled to work with these two for the day! They decided to do the shoot at a winery (how could they not?!) and Tracy blew us away with these photos! They’re ALL so stunning and we know you’re all going to love them too!
x’s & o’s you two lovebirds – we can’t wait for your wedding day!
