Mike + Kim::Wedding::Part 2::Jacksonville
Shew. Hopefully you’ve recovered now from Part 1 of Kim + Mike’s beautiful wedding day in Jacksonville, Florida. We just loved, loved, loved their first glance and all of the EPIC couples portraits that Carla was able to capture. If you haven’t seen it, head on over, then come back for Part 2. As you know, Kim + Mike had their ceremony and reception at the The Cummer Museum of Arts and Gardens, and we mentioned that they had an inter-faith ceremony. Mike is Jewish, and Kim is Catholic, and they did an absolutely beautiful job incorporated traditions from both of their faiths into the ceremony. We kick off this post with the signing of the ketubah, and head straight into the undeniably gorgeous waterfront ceremony. Ohhhhh those greens and deep blues just get us every time. Carla did a brillant job capturing some of the sweet looks that were exchanged between Kim, Mike, and their parents during the ceremony. Then we head right over to their hoppin’ reception, with amazing entertainment from The Faze Band. Thank you so much, Kim + Mike, for inviting us to capture your sweet wedding day moments. We’re so glad to welcome you to the OLAS family! xoxo

Ohhhh….lawdy, lawdy. Get ready, folks. We’ve warned you. Today we’re bringing you Part 1 of Kim + Mike’s absolutely gorgeous Jacksonville, water-front wedding, and just hold on to your horses people. It’s a beautiful one. Kim + Mike live in Atlanta and found (once like a spark) photography online, and asked our photographer extrodinaire, Carla, to travel to Jacksonville, Florida for their wedding day. (So yes, in case you were wondering, we travel all over for weddings!) Beautiful Kim is a Jacksonville native, and moved to Atlanta after graduation from the University of Florida, while Mike is from North Carolina and moved to the ATL after his time at NC State. These two were introduced by a mutual friend at a party…and the rest is history. When these two decided to get married in Jacksonville, they picked an absolutely stunning venue – the Cummer Museum of Arts and Gardens, considered one of the best art museums in the Southeastern United States. In fact, the Cummer Oak tree is estimated to be over 200 years old, one of the oldest in Jacksonville! Check out Part 1 of Kim + Mike’s absolutely beautiful wedding day….we’ll take you on a tour of the gorgeous venue, showcase some of the creative details these two worked into their day, AND feature their first glance and all of their couples photos. And ya’ll…Carla did an AMAZING job. These pics will take your breath away. Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow – we’ll be featuring Kim + Mike’s interfaith ceremony and one heck of a party! xoxo

When Anthony contacted us and asked us to participate in his proposal to his then-girlfriend, Christy, we were beside ourselves with excitement. Would we be a part of it? You BET we would!! Anthony had decided to propose to Christy at FAB (French-American Brasserie), an amazing restaurant in Atlanta, and knew that he wanted beautiful photos of the whole experience that he and Christy could treasure for a lifetime. Jen, one of our absolutely amazing Atlanta photogs, was chosen for this covert operation, and Anthony set up his plan. Jen arrived to FAB early and was placed at a table directly facing where Anthony and Christy would be sitting.
Anthony and Christy came in, sat down, and Jen acted like a normal diner until the second the Anthony got down on his knee. Then BAM! Jen got to work doing her thang….and we are all in LOVE with the result. We are so blessed that Anthony asked us to be a part of this….and that after this experience Christy and Anthony asked us to shoot their wedding as well! Enjoy, sweet OLAS fam, and leave Anthony and Christy some love!

Renee + Caleb::Wedding::Georgia
Hope you all are enjoying some time off for Thanksgiving, and are taking some time to be present with those that are near and dear to your heart. We are SO incredibly grateful for all of you , and for beautiful weddings, and for the opportunity that you give us each and every day to be a part of your lives. It’s an honor that we don’t take for granted, and we are so thankful to you! With all this time off, we know you’re looking for some beautiful weddings to view…luckily we have Renee + Caleb’s gorgeous soiree ready for you today!
Renee and Caleb got married at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center with our amazing photographers Philip + Anna in tow. The GEHC is a really modern beautiful venue with some KILLER locations for shots. We love, love, love the gray and yellow color scheme, and couldn’t help but get more than a little teary eyed watching Renee head down the aisle towards her groom. And…we’re pretty sure this wedding wins the contest for cutest ring bearer/flower girl ever. Just look – you’ll see what we’re talking about! Renee and her mom were super creative and really got into the DIY spirit – they made almost all of the decorations themselves, including super cute aprons for the catering staff (in her wedding colors, or course!) Be sure you scroll down to their couples portraits – we are LOVING the light in these shots – P+A have done it again! Random Fact of the Day: Many of you know Leah Case – one of our extraordinary team members that works closely with our clients. Her husband, Chris, was the officiant at this wedding – totally randomly!
Check it out, and leave Renee and Caleb some love!

Ya’ll….we LOVE this engagement session. Seriously, love, love, love this engagement session. Vonda and Donny are horse people, living in horse country in Virginia, and knew that they wanted to incorporate the equestrian look and feel into their sessions. OLAS co-founder Cali came out of mini-photography-retirement (ha!) to shoot this amazing session in the countryside of Virginia at Vonda’s beautiful farm and oh.em.gee. We are SWOONING. Their session was filled with their beautiful property, their precious farm animals, and a sweet evening romantic dinner. Sweet Vonda and Donny are getting married next week in Keswick, Virginia….and we know their wedding is going to be just as beautiful as this session!

Lindsay + Alex::Engagement
We’ve been on a bit of a wedding kick lately, and we figured it’s time to bring you some engagement goodness for this Monday afternoon. Most of the country is unseasonably cold and trying to stay warm….so we knew today was the day to bring you Lindsay + Alex’s engagement photos. Our extraordinary husband and wife photog team, Philip + Anna, met Lindsay and Alex on what had to be the absolute HOTTEST day of the year in Atlanta, so we’re hoping some of the warmth of the day emits through the computer wherever you are (what, this can’t happen? I thought it was 2011?) We LOVE the light, airy feel of this session, and some of our fav shots are the ones where you can faintly see the Atlanta skyline in the background. Love, love!! We’re so excited about shooting Lindsay + Alex’s big day at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in June 2012….we love these two! xoxo
