Brianne + Kevin :: Wedding Part 1 :: Atlanta

Happy Thursday OLAS Family! We couldn’t be more excited to share Brianne and Kevin’s gorgeous outdoor Atlanta Wedding with you today! These two love birds were married at 6 o’clock on a beautiful GA summer’s day at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in June. Brianne told us that she didn’t want to waste any time on taking getting ready shots, but instead wanted all of the focus to be on the flowers and all around beauty of the gardens themselves. Once we saw this venue (and these photos!!), we could absolutely see why!! Our amazing Atlanta photographer duo, Philip and Anna, did such an incredible job capturing the feel Brianne and Kevin were hoping for. The bridal portraits and couples shots are crazy, crazy gorgeous. Everything about this wedding exudes natural beauty, from the organic surroundings, to the glowing bride. Brianne’s choice of purples, pinks and yellows for her added pops of color, highlighted the botanical back drop of their wedding perfectly. Be sure to check out her adorable sparkly pink shoes too – (we are in love)! This lush garden wedding took our breath away, we can’t wait to show you part two tomorrow!

P.S. See that tree of thumbprints on their guest table at the ceremony? Yep – that’s their “guestbook” – LOVE!

Alyssa + Shaun :: Wedding Part 2 :: Boston

Alright guys, get ready! Part 2 of Alyssa and Shaun’s Boston Wedding is here and the photos are creating some fierce competition for Part 1. If you haven’t yet checked out Part 1, do so and come back (you won’t be sorry you did!). One of the coolest things about Alyssa and Shaun getting married at the Commandant’s House in the Charlestown Navy Yard, was that they were given exclusive access to board the USS Constitution (baring any issues of National Security) <— love that. Obviously, Graham was there to capture their every step on board, and did he ever. We are seriously IN LOVE with these couples shots! Talk about breathtaking.

As if Alyssa and Shaun needed anything else to make their wedding absolutely spectacular after a few newlywed shots on the USS Constitution, their reception definitely didn’t disappoint. Complete with over 100 red and blue lobster lollipops functioning as place cards (which Alyssa made herself btw — our OLAS brides continually amaze us with their craftiness!), a true New England clambake, and a live band for a crazy fun post dinner party, I’d say that Alyssa and Shaun’s goal of creating a relaxed and fun-filled vibe for their reception guests was more than achieved.

There are about a million other great things we could tell you about this couple and their wedding day, but this last little detail is probably our favorite. You’ll notice below that there aren’t any photos of the bouquet toss… this isn’t because they decided to forgo the tradition altogether, but because they decided to do something incredibly special and meaningful for Alyssa’s parents. You see, her parents were celebrating their 39th wedding anniversary this exact weekend, and Alyssa and Shaun really wanted to make sure it didn’t get forgotten amongst all of their wedding celebrations. So, instead of tossing the bouquet, Alyssa took a moment out of their reception to present it to her mother and then she and Shaun shared a special dance with her parents for their anniversary. Love, love, LOVE this precious couple. Alyssa and Shaun, thank you for trusting us to capture these beloved memories – we couldn’t be more honored to have you as part of our OLAS family. x’s & o’s

Alyssa + Shaun :: Wedding Part 1 :: Boston

Hi OLAS lovelies!

It’s Emily, creative director for OLAS, and now – not only do I get to go through each and every gorgeous and amazing one of your photos, I get to blog about them too! Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE my job? Well, I do!  Ashley and I will be tag-teaming it on blog posts from now on, so we can bring you more of what we all love – stunning, stunning, OLAS weddings!

This one is no exception, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to blog about Alyssa + Shaun’s Wedding at the Commandant’s House in the Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston, MA for my first post (one could call it my “maiden voyage”…) :) Look out for photos of the bride and groom on the USS Constitution in part 2!  Alyssa and Shaun admit that they are truly geeks at heart and were so excited to get married on such an historical location, and on the water to boot! They’ve also always loved the North End of Boston and have spent many a date night just wandering the streets and holding hands. This couple just can’t help but glow! Graham, our amazing Boston area photog, did such an incredible job capturing all of the sweet and candid moments from the day, and especially between these two love birds. They just couldn’t seem to stop kissing! Seriously – check out the kiss at the ceremony (before the first kiss) after her dad gives her away at the alter! We loved every second of it and know you will too.

Be on the look out for a true New England affair in part 2 of Alyssa and Shaun’s Wedding tomorrow, complete with photos on the USS Constitution and a true New England Clambake!

Jordan + Alton::Wedding::Part 2::Georgia

We know after we featured Part 1 of Jordan + Alton’s amazing Georgia November wedding that you’ve been waiting to see the EVEN more spectacular Part 2! In case you missed the first post, head on over to catch up, and then join us again as we take a gander at J + A’s beautiful, intimate ceremony, some of the most amazing couples shots EVER, and their out-of-control fabulous reception.  Our incredible Southeast photog Carla hung with Jordan + Alton all day at Vinewood Plantation, and you saw yesterday just a glimpse of how gorgeous it really is. Jordan + Alton got married under the pecan tree at Vinewood – Jordan grew up playing in a pecan orchard on a family farm, so this tree was especially symbolic for her. We were all swooning over the variety of dark wood chairs and the reception, and especially loved the ‘Here Comes the Bride’ sign.  So incredible.  When describing just how they wanted their wedding day to feel, Jordan and Alton said they hoped it would feel elegant, quaint, and a little vintage. We think these two hit the nail right on the head.  We love you dearly Jordan and Alton and are so blessed that you trusted us with your amazing photos! xoxo

Jordan + Alton: Part 1: Georgia

Happy Monday OLAS Family! We are all SO excited to bring you Jordan + Alton’s absolutely gorgeous November Georgia wedding filled with all of our favorite things….an amazing venue, tons of thoughtful details, and a bride and groom totally in love.  Jordan (the bride) is one of my very, very dear friends and sorority sisters (this is Ashley  writing btw…OLAS co-owner), and I absolutely could not wait to see what Jordan had in store for her wedding day.  She is without a doubt one of the most stylish people I know, and I had no doubt that their wedding would be quite a sight to see….and is it ever!! Today we bring you Part 1 of Jordan and Alton’s big day at Vinewood Plantation in Newnan, Georgia.  Jordan and Alton met on their first day in college at the University of Georgia, in their very first college class….entitled “Birds of Our Lives.”  Yep, that’s right. They dated for short while, broke up, but stayed in touch…..but  7 years later, these two reunited. And as they say, the rest is history.

I know that I said Jordan is uber-stylish, but she is a self-proclaimed science nerd as well, and has a deep passionate love for nature and ecology (no joke), and she found her match in Alton. That’s one of the very reasons they chose to get married at the spectacular Vinewood – they both felt like the rustic feel and beautiful, open spaces were a perfect match for these two nature-lovers.  Today we bring you all of the pre-ceremony photos – the ladies and the gents, and some incredibly stunning portraits of both the bride and groom.   Our amazing, amazing, amazing photographer, Carla, did such an amazing job….I can’t even say enough. The photos speak for themselves! Enjoy, and look out for Part 2 tomorrow!
